Daniel liked to believe he had been a non-confrontational kid too. But honestly, he had been a little fire-cracker. He blamed on his Jersey-Italian roots. After all, Louie is the same. He's a lot better at controlling his anger these days... well, a little better. He tries to follow the Miyagi-Do teachings to the letter.
Sometimes he fails.
Still, he's determined to do better for these kids. To teach them the skills to end a fight without the need to start fights. Like Johnny says ... you can be badass without being an asshole. That's a good life lesson.
"Trust me, no one would dare get on Gwen's bad side," he chuckles soft. "But it's good you're making friends. If you do have any problems though, any at all, you can always talk to me or Sensei Lawrence."
